I'm sorry to hear about the ER visit due to weinmann rims. I choose what I build at mobius for quality and nothing else. I have also found velocity deep vs to be low quality as well (and dangerous during failure). I like colors too, which is why I started the Keirin Jersey Color program on DT Swiss rims. The DT Swiss 1.2 is the answer to my long time prayer for a quality deep section rim. The best we used to be able to get was the Mavic CXP series. Unfortunately Mavic started making their rims in Asia a few years ago as well. It was the end of an era. Luckily, right about the same time DT Swiss expanded their mountain bike excellence to include road rims with the same unbelievable quality control the Swiss have been known for over the last 100 years. Those of you out there still riding Weinmann's you are now scared of, come down and talk with me at mobius. It only takes a little more time to afford a quality 450$ wheelset. If you want color just take more time to pay for our custom paint done right here in Seattle at SIK Werks. One reason our country is in trouble is high quantity low quality buying practices we are convinced by our media as better. I disagree and model my business accordingly. I hope this reaches many so please repost. Even if you don't come to mobius for quality wheels, please, demand quality where you do spend your money. It's the best way to combat exploitative manufacturing.
