Michigan Tribute Bike

Chantal, who works in the Market, is from Michigan. The Toyo frame Dead Baby AZ traded in was a perfect fit (monetarily and size). Just so happened the fork that fit was this gorgeous yellow Colnago which matched the detail on the Toyo. We sent her rims off to SIK Werks for the match and Voila! A beauty was born. This Wednesday Chantal had parked on First and Pike. When she returned to her bike it was being scrutinized by an Italian gentleman who introduced himself as "Mr. Milani". He grabbed a Cycling News magazine and showed Chantal a spread all about his shop which is the oldest operating bike shop in Italy...he proceeded to question her about her beautiful bike, clearly beside himself that he didn't have time to stop by, being on his way to Interbike in Las Vegas (that orgy of corporate showmanship that happens once a year in the middle of the desert). Sad we missed you Mr. Milani but one of our friends is on his way to your shop in Italy armed with business cards so you can at least call or check out the site. Thanks Chantal, that story made my week! Here it is in all it's shiny, beautiful glory:
